I’ve been researching my family history for nearly 15 years now tracing my paternal family in Massachusetts, Sicily, and Campania; while tracing my maternal line in Colonial America, Ireland, Massachusetts, England, and Canada. Over the years I have cherished reclaiming documents, stories, and most importantly my heritage.
My passion is genealogy, but my genealogy is not just in documents and tracing lineages. My heritage and traditions are just as important to me. What I realize now, is that by reclaiming my family history, I am producing a cultural narrative and building a virtual neighborhood. By intertwining recipes, stories, photos, and maps, I hope to bring my ancestors to life for family and friends.
